J. Logan Rappaport
J. Logan Rappaport is a Partner at Pryor & Mandelup L.L.P. He joined the Firm as an Associate in 2007 and became a partner in 2015. Mr. Rappaport’s current practice focuses on shepherding both corporate and individual debtors through the bankruptcy process, whether under Chapter 7, Chapter 11, or Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Rappaport’s practice also includes a substantial bankruptcy litigation component having represented numerous corporations, individuals, and four of the trustees on the panel of Chapter 7 trustees for the Eastern District of New York, in all phases of litigation, including trial. Mr. Rappaport also has extensive commercial litigation experience in both state and federal courts. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Rappaport defended various New York hospitals, as well as prominent physicians, while he was a litigation associate with one of the largest civil litigation boutiques in New York. Mr. Rappaport has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2007, and is admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The George Washington University in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, where he served as a Notes and Articles Editor for the Environmental Law Review, in 2006. Mr. Rappaport is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and is also a member of the Model Legislation Committee of the New York Democratic Lawyers Council.
